R18 Survival Game - Chapter 7 (Part 1)
“Sister, what’s wrong with you?” Ji Ning stood at the door frame, considered their status as Peripheral women, and showed a casual expression of concern for this NPC.
See if you can get key information from her.
The woman crying in the corner was wearing a pink one-piece swimsuit, which was much more conservative than the others.
Hearing someone’s voice asking, the woman raised her head and Ji Ning saw her eyes red with tears. She felt pity for her. She was a delicate beauty.
The girl wiped her tears carelessly and shook her head at Ji Ning: “I’m fine, I’m just in a bad mood. I’ll go up right away. You go first, so as not to be blamed.” Ji Ning thought to herself, to be crying so hard, it was obvious that something had happened.
But most people wouldn’t ask again after being rejected like this, so Ji Ning nodded and said, “Okay, I’ll go up first.” She turned around and closed the door and left.
Before leaving, Ji Ning took another brief look at her and noted down her appearance.
With this unexpected discovery, Ji Ning returned to the first floor of the cruise ship. Seeing Xing Ye leaning against the railing, still waiting for her where they separated just now, she trotted over and got in front of him.
Xing Ye was immediately impressed by Ji Ning’s new look. He held her waist in his arms and said half-jokingly: “You’re very beautiful. You can only belong to me on this trip.” Ji Ning tilted her head and smiled: “Okay Boss.”
Xing Ye was amused by her. He leaned over and kissed Ji Ning’s cheek, before leaving a message in her ear: “I have a new discovery.”
Ji Ning moved closer with tacit understanding and looked towards Xing Ye as he handed over his mobile phone.
On the phone was a post on a local gossip forum. The poster said that his good brother Wei Yong was hit and killed by the second-generation heir of the Zhao Group in his drag racing car. He used money to suppress the news and there was no report on it.
Perhaps because the title was ordinary, the main post only contained a few comments below. It was a post that only received lukewarm attention.
“I saw the staff announcement posted on the ship. The captain’s surname is also Wei. This is a rare surname. The captain and the deceased might be father and son.” Xing Ye hugged Ji Ning and lowered his head to sniff her neck ambiguously, covering up the real conversation taking place between the two.
Ji Ning put the phone back into the outer pocket of Xing Ye’s windbreaker before hugging him, “I also made a small discovery. I was changing clothes just now when I heard a female NPC crying in the fitting room. I asked her what was wrong, but she didn’t say anything. It feels like there is a story behind it.”
“You can focus on observing her.” Xing Ye was a little surprised at Ji Ning’s acumen. It was rare for a newcomer to integrate into the game so quickly and take the initiative to discover clues. He praised her, “You adapted quickly. ”
Ji Ning explained embarrassedly: “No, this feels like playing a game. If the NPC behaves abnormally, it will usually be related to a mission.”
He didn’t understand what Ji Ning had meant. But that didn’t stop him from liking her vitality and agile intuition.
He guided her patiently: “Judging from the relationship of the captain, this is likely to be a world that tests your deduction and reasoning. I encountered it once. After the main NPC was killed, multiple suspects with murderous motives were unearthed. The mission objective is to find the real murderer.”
Ji Ning asked tentatively: “So, the captain might just have a motive to murder for revenge, but might not necessarily be the real murderer, right?”
Xing Ye glanced at her appreciatively and nodded.
“Now that we know in advance that the birthday NPC might be killed, should we secretly follow him and try to witness the scene? This way we can know the answer for sure.” Ji Ning asked again.
“No.” Xing Ye explained, “You cannot change or interfere with the incident. If the main event is not discovered by the public, it will be considered a foul.”
Ji Ning sighed. It seems that the rules in the game are really strict, leaving no room nor loophole that can be exploited.
Now, thanks to Xing Ye, she already knew a lot of information in advance. But according to the rules of the game, you would still have to wait until the event occurs before acting.
Although she had to be passive, Ji Ning felt that she was much luckier than the players who knew nothing about it, especially if they were new.
“Let’s go inside and have a look.” Xing Ye distanced himself, hugged Ji Ning and walked towards the inner hall on the first floor of the cruise ship.
