I just paid off all my debt. Is it not completely over now?

I froze at the obvious words of the system.

[Irina? I think you need to check it, haha.]

[We really didn’t want this either. But I couldn’t help it.]

The system that helped with my debt relief wasn’t just about giving quests.

At first, I thought the system was like any other that gives quests and skills as if you were playing a game.

However, in the end, a system can only function if there is an operator.

I think there were about two operators, and they would give me quests regularly and talk to me like that.

At first, it was awkward, and I wondered who they were, but now I just accepted it.

But since I’ve been possessed my whole life, I got used to the fact that there could be a system like that. Yes.

The fall of the empire was a part of the original story that was resolved by the female and male leads.

But why did this come to me? I’m just a slave that had to pay my debts.

Before I could calm my confused mind, another quest arrived.

[SYSTEM | The second quest is carried out in conjunction with the main quest ‘Preventing the Fall of the Empire’.]

“… … in conjunction?”

The system seemed to be unaware of my feelings and intervened in a spiteful manner.

[Ahem! The main quest and sub-quest are connected to each other!]

[In order to do the main quest, you must complete the sub-quest.]

‘Wait for a sec. Can I check the details?’

[SYSTEM | Ah! Please wait a moment! Details are being sorted out.]

[SYSTEM | We are organizing the details of the main quest ‘Preventing the Fall of the Empire’.]

Even the details haven’t been updated yet.

Judging by the two quest titles alone, it seemed like the debt of Archduke Luwin’s family must be repaid in order to prevent the fall of the empire.

No, f*ck it. What on earth is this?

The family of Archduke Luwin is the family of the male protagonist. But why is this family in debt? And what does this debt have to do with the fall of the empire?

I felt my hands shaking.

When I slowly raised my head, I saw Cassis sitting on the couch more elegantly than anyone else, looking a little tired, sipping tea.

The massive rain that hit the southern part of the empire for the first time in several years was still pouring down. Even though it was midday, the interior was brightly lit.

Unable to kick out the male lead, Cassis, in this weather, I had no choice but to ask him to come in.

So, until he was done washing up and came out, Lee Jin and I sat side by side, holding our heads, trembling in fear, wondering why on earth would a person like the Archduke appear in the south like that.

Cassis still has a cool face, as if he wouldn’t flinch if he burned his hand.

Is it because the weather is bad today? Looking at him from the side, he looked very tired and even a little exhausted.

“Thank you for allowing me to stay.”

“It is an honour.”

In response to my answer, he politely curled the corners of his mouth slightly and then relaxed them again.
